Egg production

Already in the laying farm, we put the roosters and the hens together so that they initiate their production phase of fertile eggs. Hens, like pullets in the rearing phase, live on the ground (not in cages), and farmers continuously control the environment on the farm so that it is as suitable as possible and the hens and roosters have the maximum comfort and they can produce the maximum number of hatching and fertile (embryonated) eggs. This laying phase lasts about 40 weeks and during this time, sanitary controls are carried out on both hens and the eggs produced, as well as a selection and disinfection of eggs on the farm itself. The eggs are stored under strict conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, to be transported to the Incubation Plant, in trucks in a controlled environment. Throughout every stage, the birds are controlled by our Veterinary Services.
